Rebecca Ashcroft

Frank Engagement consultant Rebecca Ashcroft is a communications and engagement specialist, passionate about bringing te taiao – the environment, and tāngata – people, together. 

With nearly a decade of experience across central and local government and the private sector, Rebecca has focused on telling stories, engaging the people who need to be in the room, and building relationships to foster community-led outcomes. 

She’s worked on complex projects with multiple stakeholders across local government consultations, environmental initiatives, and behaviour change campaigns. 

Rebecca is skilled at telling stories to bring communities on the journey, delivering strategic advice while working at pace on the ground, and building relationships for shared outcomes. 

In all of her roles, Rebecca has worked with executive teams, mana whenua, partners, and clients to support, develop, and deliver communications and engagement strategies, covering climate change to infrastructure, resource management to biodiversity.

Qualifications 

Rebecca is a trained engagement practitioner (International Association for Public Participation Australasia Certificate in Engagement), has a Bachelor of Communications from Massey University, and has completed the New Zealand Certificate in Te Reo (Reo Rua) Level 1 and 2 from Te Wananga o Aotearoa.
