Rapid response - Ensure your senior leaders are prepared
We’ll work with you to prepare a tailored 3-4 hour workshop to provide your team an understanding of what journalists are looking for, tips on how to prepare your key messages, practical experience in a realistic media interview and feedback on how you could improve your interview skills.
1.
Preparation
Working closely with you, we tailor the workshop to the risks your organisation faces and the level of preparation you’re starting with to come out better prepared to manage a media crisis.
2.
Workshop sessions
Across two three-hour sessions (with lunch in between), we’ll work with your executive team and C+E leads on how to: identify a communications crisis early; distinguish between an operational crisis and a reputational crisis; stay calm, prioritise and deliver under pressure; prepare a media crisis strategy; get your core team and resources in place; know when to call in the cavalry; and keep your stakeholders informed and engaged to protect your important relationships throughout a crisis.
3.
Practical session
We’ll tailor an exercise based on the organisational risks you’ve identified to allow team members to experience the roles they’d play in a media crisis – this may include interviews, dealing with public or stakeholder enquiries or managing media.
4.
Insights
We’ll provide recommendations on what gaps you might need to fill and next steps to being more prepared for a media crisis.
